Safeguard Coaches has introduced a second Plaxton Leopard 70 seat coach on a Volvo chassis to add to its Safeguard Coaches fleet, offering customers maximum capacity with a high specification. Managing Director Andrew Halliday says: “The new Leopard is a good looking vehicle and the Volvo chassis gives us the reliability we need, providing a workhorse that combines style with performance. It offers maximum capacity in a longer deck, so it feels spacious with more leg room than other 70 seat configurations”.
Ideally suited to school work, airport runs and day trips, the new Leopard features 70 fixed seats in three plus two formation with three point seatbelts trimmed in red patterned moquette. The high specification includes curtains and red soft trim to the luggage racks, contrasting with grey carpeting and roof lining, together with climate control incorporating a forward roof mounted Thermo-King air conditioning unit. The vehicle has radio/DVD/CD entertainment system with public address facility.
Underneath the Plaxton coachwork, the environmentally-friendly Euro 6 Volvo B8R chassis incorporates a rear mounted Volvo 8-litre engine and ZF automated gearbox. Externally, the Leopard has been finished by Plaxton in Safeguard Coaches’ red and cream livery complete with branding.
