Services continue in spite of Arctic weather
Despite the best efforts of “the beast from the east” to bring Britain’s transport system to a complete standstill, Guildford-based Safeguard Coaches has added a new 70 Plaxton Leopard to their fleet.
Andrew Halliday, the company’s Managing Director, commented: “The weather certainly did its best to disrupt transport everywhere, but we managed to keep virtually all of our local bus services running.
“Some schools battled on valiantly for a few days before eventually closing their doors so, along with the cancellation of private hires, the coach side of our business gradually wound down. However, we are now back in full swing and have been able to put our new 70-seat vehicle on the road.
“This is the third 70 seat Leopard to join our fleet in three years and it is particularly suited to school and college work, airport runs, day trips and private hires. It is a workhorse that combines style with performance and complements our fleet perfectly.”
