Group Travel – The Airport Dilemma

Of the 24 commercial international airports within the UK, London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted Airports are within the top four busiest, serving passengers for domestic flights within the UK as well as external flights to the rest of the world.  For any group of staff or guests flying into or out of one of these hubs, getting to and from the airport can be stressful and confusing; especially if English is not their first language.

While public transport and taxis can be a costly and complicated option, coach transport for groups of 10 people or more is inexpensive, environmentally friendly and will deliver your visitors straight to the terminal door.

A further transport challenge is presented when groups of staff or guests arrive from overseas. Transport concerns start when they arrive at the airport after a long flight and need to reach their hotels or offices with the least effort and inconvenience.

Dedicated Coach Park

Security measures at airports dictate that all coaches picking up passengers are held in a separate coach park until the group has cleared all formalities.  At this point the group leader can contact the coach marshal (normally located at the coach pick-up point outside the terminal) to release the coach. The driver will then make his or her way to the terminal building so that the group can embark.  At no time is the coach driver allowed to leave the coach unattended.Gatwick Airport Arrivals Hall
